Dominic L. Ricciardi, M.D.

Dominic Ricciardi is the medical director of MindBody Bariatrics. He is a board certified internist that specializes in bariatric medicine. Dr. Ricciardi graduated from the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine in 2001. He is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, The North American Association for the Study of Obesity, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Ricciardi has trained with some of the nations leading bariatric physicians and surgeons and has extensive experience in weight loss, nutrition and fitness. Dr. Ricciardi has over 15 years of experience in health education and was the nursing staff physician educator at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Illinois. In 2004 he was recognized by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation with the Humanism and Excellence in teaching award. Dr. Ricciardi served on the advisory council to the Society of Hospital Medicine's Northern Illinois chapter. Dr. Ricciardi has extensive inpatient and outpatient experience with chronic medical disease. He is dedicated to his patients, providing them with an individualized and holistic approach to evidence based health care.

Lindsey B. Ricciardi, Ph.D.

Lindsey Ricciardi is the Behavioral Services Director of MindBody Bariatrics. She is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in eating disorders and obesity. Dr. Lindsey Ricciardi (formerly Bocchieri) received her Master’s degree and Doctorate degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She then completed an internship and fellowship at the University of Chicago’s Eating & Weight Disorders program. She is currently a member of the International Academy of Eating Disorders (AED), the North American Association for the Study of Obesity (NAASO), the American Society for Bariatric Physicians (ASBP), the Nevada State Psychological Association (NSPA), and the American Psychological Association (APA).  Dr. Lindsey Ricciardi is a leading expert in the psychosocial aspects of severe obesity and weight loss surgery. She has 12 years of experience in health education and over 7 years of direct clinical and research experience in eating and weight disorders. Dr. Ricciardi has published several scientific articles and has presented her research at national and international conferences. She has coauthored a book entitled “Obesity Surgery: Stories of Altered Lives” due to be published February of 2008.
